Staff Partners are currently looking for Adult Continence , with a passion for delivering outstanding care Registered Nurse 1 x nurse for telephone reviews, 1 x nurse for community assessments.

Our client provides a service in South West London – Merton.

Whether you are looking for block bookings or ad hoc bookings this is something we are able to offer.

Weekdays

9-hour days

Working Hours:

* * Start time – 08:30

* End time 17:00

* 1 hour lunch unpaid each day

Possible to consider shorter lunch with earlier end time

Main

Duties:

To assess, treat and review clients with bladder and or bowel dysfunction according to NICE guidelines relating to bladder and bowel dysfunction

To perform investigations including ultrasound bladder scanning, urine testing, uroflowmetry, digital rectal examination and pelvic floor muscle assessment demonstrating and maintaining competence at a specialist level

To undertake male and female catheterisation in a community setting, including supra pubic catheters

To undertake TWOC (trial without catheter) in conjunction with the community nurses/

To manage a caseload of clients who require specialist continence nursing care

To refer clients on to other specialist clinicians for further investigations and/or treatment as appropriate

To work in

collaboration

with GPs and other clinicians in planning and delivering care

To support other clinicians in planning care by phone or joint consultations

To work effectively with other agencies such as social services and carers in planning and implementing care. This will include planned home visits

To attend and participate in case conference

Managerial

To establish and maintain a good working relationship with colleagues, Merton community services teams and other health and social care service providers, so as to provide a comprehensive service to patients and carers.

To contribute to the implementation, monitoring and reporting of performance outcome measures, alerting team leads and managers of any shortfalls.

To complete statistical returns as required by the Trust including entering data onto the computerised system within the required time frames.

Ensure the timely and correct entry of clinical and statistical data onto Rio, including own data and that of other team members.

To be responsible for the care and safe keeping of equipment issued for personal and team use and to report any defect or loss.

To attend and participate in Team, Locality and other relevant meetings.

To be a member of working parties and groups considering aspects of the service and professional practice as required.

To take an active role in service development activities, identifying areas for improvement and options for change.

Assist in the implementation and monitoring of clinical and service standards.

Respond to complaints appropriately and in accordance with Trust policy seeking Guidance as required.
