Architect – Fast Data Component and Middleware
Business Environment & Purpose
Data has a tremendous industry momentum, and it is commonly agreed that companies that view data as a strategic source of competitive advantage and implement it effectively are better equipped to unlock new market opportunities as they arise. This is true for Amadeus as well as we managehuge volumes of travel related data that is of great interest to our eco-system.
Accepting the challenges, Amadeus is accelerating by bringing together expertise and experience around data technologies from various R&D organizations using SAFE methodology, with the mission to deliver an integrated platform to the entire Amadeus.
We’re calling it theaPaaS,ApplicationPlatform-as-a-Service,and it will encompass all the needed bricks to build a moderncloud-nativeapplication – from fast data to big data, from rules engine to machine learning – on top of the features already offered by the PaaS.
In Data Domain, the Fast Data Platform ART aims atdelivering a first-class technology to serve the needs of the various business domainsat Amadeus in terms of real-time digestion of data, its correlation and event detection. It aims at providing a turn-key event-driven architecture on which the business domains canbuild and implement cloud native applications.
The Fast Data Platform includesthe delivery and the vision for Dynamic Intelligence Hub(DIH)product for our Airlines customers. This is a growing product already sold and working in production for Finnair and Air Canada, under assessment by several airlines including Southwest Airline and Malaysian Airline. The DIH product is now part of the baseline portfolio for all Altea PSS renegotiations which will help increasing its adoption.
The Fast Data Platform includes, as well,the delivery and the vision ofPlatform-to-Platformcapabilitywhich aims at linking our Amadeus Data platform to the others Tech Giant platforms like Salesforce and Adobe.
