– THE ROLE;
* This is an
exciting
&
challenging
career opportunity, where your mission is to help our client grow into one of the most recognised brands in the roofing industry.
* As Area Sales Manager, you will be selling timber roof windows, skylights and accessories such as tile and slate flashing, blinds and roller shutters, into Property developers, contractors, roof window installers, regional house builders, loft conversion companies and jobber builders on residential projects, HMO projects, student accommodation etc.
* You will then back-sell through roofing and building suppliers, roofing merchants, builders merchants, timbers merchants, distributors and retailers.
* As Area Sales Manager / Business Development Manager, you will be
building relationships
with existing customers, running trade mornings, offering product training and demonstrations, as well as targeting a large database of companies that haven’t as yet been educated on the huge cost, service and product benefits of our clients range of products.
* You will typically be on the roads 4 days per week, making 16+ face to face meetings per week.
* You will spend 60% of the time with roofing contractors, installers, jobber builders, house builders and developers and 40% with roofing and building suppliers, roofing merchants, builders merchants, distributors and retailers.
* You will be covering the following postcodes; SO, PO, GU, RG, OX, SL, BN, RH, TN, CT, ME, KT, CR, , DA, SE, SW, TW, SM, W & UB. In essence, Hampshire, Berkshire, Oxfordshire, West Sussex, East Sussex, Surrey, Kent, Berkshire, Middlesex, South East London, South London, South West London and West London.
* As Area Sales Manager / BDM you will report on competitor activity, maintain industry knowledge by reviewing professional publications, establish personal networks and attend industry related events.
* You’ll attend trade shows and conferences as required and will work closely with your colleagues across the country.
* As the manufacturer, you will do joint calls with and support your distributor/builders merchant/roofing merchant on occasion..
* The role is 60% contractor, 40% distributor. They offer superb training, from both a sales and practical perspective.
