The positionThis position plays an important role in aligning the organization’s business goals with ESG objectives. The Section promotes responsible practices across all aspects of the business and acts as PMO for company-wide ESG actions. The Officer regularly reports on progress, achievements, and areas for improvement in relation to measurable key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics. (S)he also tracks and reports on the company’s ESG performance actively participating in reporting activities in terms of regulatory compliance and business-driven initiatives. Moreover, (s)he identifies and assesses ESG-related risks that could affect the company’s operations, or financial performance in support of strategic planning activities.

Main Duties

Executes the company’s ESG plan, aligning it with business objectives and long-term goals

Collaborates with cross-functional teams within the company to integrate ESG considerations into overall business planning

Acts as PMO in the implementation of the company’s sustainability initiatives

Establishes / Monitors / Updates key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track ESG performance. Ensures alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices

Reports on ESG performance. Prepares and submits relevant ESG reports & internal documentation

Identifies and assesses ESG-related risks and opportunities that may impact the company’s performance

Stays up-to-date with the evolving ESG regulations and standards

Communicates with authorities, when required

Maintains comprehensive records of the department’s documentation and correspondence

Analyzes and proposes improvements and innovative practices in the section’s operation

Prepares presentations and corporate communication material

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Economics or Environmental services or relevant field

Master’s Degree in Sustainable Business, Sustainable Development, Energy / Environmental Management or relevant field will be considered an asset

At least 2 years of proven experience in developing and implementing ESG strategies

Familiarity with relevant ESG Reporting frameworks and standards

ESG relates certification will be considered an advantage

Excellent command of the English language, both written and oral

Advanced in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Proficient in presentation and reporting

Proficient in Data Analysis tools, database management
