Bespoke Health & Social Care are looking for a compassionate, outgoing individual to join our established andsupportive team. You’ll be providing care to a lively, sociable 21-year-old woman who loves engaging with the community and attending a special needs college alongside her dedicated support worker.
Superbcommunication skillsare vital as the young lady doesn’t speak verbally but effectively communicates her needs and desires in her own expressive manner.
Additionally, there’s a well-trained, gentle-natured dog in the family household.
Key Responsibilities
Support with all aspects of daily living
Gastrostomy care
Moving and handling support
Personal care
Cough assist and suction
Nebulisers and medication administration
You will also provide support during outings and hospital visits with the family when required. You will also support with respite visits which include overnights and full days with another team member, During respite, activities can include supporting with days out, hydrotherapy, visits to local attractions amongst other fun things.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Ability to effectively communicate with individuals requiring care
Experience with complex care preferred but all training will be given by a registered nurse dedicated to the package.
Strongattention to detailand adherence tosafety protocols
Empathy, patience, andcompassionwhen interacting with individuals in need of support
Flexibilityandadaptabilityto meet varying care needs
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Willingness to undergo additionaltraining and developmentas required
