The EMEA Benefits Specialist & HR Admin provides guidance to employees regarding plan enrollment, ongoing communication, program features/changes, and works directly with employees to understand and resolve coverage, payments, and claims issues. Resolves issues with the help and collaboration of service providers as well as Bio-Rad HR and Finance/Payroll staff. Administers benefits programs for the various countries in the region under the direction of the EMEA Benefits Supervisor. The EMEA Benefits Specialist & HR Admin performs any and all administrative requirements to support the effective maintenance of HR data and benefits to employees in each EMEA country. Responsible for the day-to-day operations and management of benefits programs including recordkeeping, reporting, regulatory compliance, contracts, vendor payments, leave (and change) management. The EMEA Benefits Specialist & HR Admin supports the local HR with admin tasks and is well aware of how functions like benefits, payroll and finance are interconnected. He/ she supports the local HR in proactively making sure that the changes in legislation are duly reflected in the current benefits portfolio and in the employees’ payslips.

How You’ll Make an Impact

Works directly with employees to ensure effective enrollment and continued coverage in local benefit programs. Assists employees in the successful resolution of benefits issues, payments, claims disputes, etc. with help from local HR/Finance staff to effectively communicate with employees in the variety of languages required.
Administers EMEA benefits programs including statutory and non-statutory retirement, pension, medical, leave-of-absence, and other related programs. Ensures the required policies, reporting and documentation, contract negotiation, and legal compliance to maintain a competitive benefit offering for employees.
Performs other HR data admin related duties as required in each EMEA country (onboarding and offboarding tasks, occupational medicine, 1st line employee support on HR related matters and so on)

What You Bring

Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills in multiple languages (Italian and English, mostly). An excellent command of technical vocabulary in English is necessary.
Excellent Customer Service skills required.
Analytical, problem-solving abilities and proactive attitude
Ability to work autonomously on projects with little close supervision
3-4 years of related experience in HR data administration and employee benefits (local payroll knowledge is an appreciated plus)
Computer skills with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).

Environment/Working Conditions

Location: the role is office-desk based in Segrate with remote working opportunities up to 2 days a week. Involves reaching, sitting, standing, talking and hearing, close vision, and computer and telephone use. Work is generally light. Works in an office with noise levels typical of an office.
