Job Description
Develop and implement comprehensive risk frameworks
Provide strategic oversight of the bank’s enterprise risk management
Ensure compliance with all relevant risk-related regulations
Present risk reports to the board and relevant stakeholders
Lead and develop a team of risk professionals
Develop strategies to manage financial risks
Collaborate with other departments to ensure risk management strategies are integrated across the organisation
Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends and changes in the regulatory environment
Manage the relationship with the regulator and all senior stakeholders
The Successful Applicant
A successful Chief Risk Officer – SMF 4 should have:
A solid understanding of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM)
Ideally worked in a top tier Wholesale Bank and then moved to a mid sized firm as a CRO in the UK
Proven track recordof managing risk in a banking environment
Strongleadershipskills and the ability to develop a team
Excellentcommunication skillsand the ability to present complex information clearly
strong relationship with the FCA and PRA
Ideally has been interviewed previously by the regulator
