The Company

Our client a leader in the engineering and manufacturing ofhigh-tech intralogistics systemsfor global markets. Our client currently turnover 59million in the UK and a Billion of Euros worldwide, this is an excellent time to join a large group with strong backing. Our client is looking for a commissioning engineer to join their projects team. Our client also offers excellent training and for the right candidate an opportunity to progress to a control engineer or project role is achievable.

Through this diversification and new product lines the company’s demand for skilled engineers has risen sharply to help them fulfil their contracts. Their products which include fully automated PLC and SCADA controlled sortation, docking and loading systems are cutting edge and can be custom made to meet the customer’s needs, regardless of scale.

The Role

The Commissioning Engineer duties will include. You will also be involved with installs, modifications and commissioning work. Projects traditional last from 3 – 6 months.

Commissioning of automated controls for supplied or modified equipment in a timely and professional manner

Develop and deliver on-site testing (function, integration, and capacity).

Ensure implementation and handover of the final approved system and transfer to Hotline.

Installation/adjustment of electrical & mechanical equipment – as required.

Handover to the customer.

Remote technical support for customers as assigned

Interpret circuit diagrams and layout drawings for installation and/or troubleshooting purposes

Develop and maintain an effective professional relationship with customers and/or project personnel

Communicate commissioning/troubleshooting activities to the appropriate personnel in a timely and professional manner

Travel domestically
80% of the time

Perform other related duties as assigned

The Candidate

To be successful in your application you must have the following skills, abilities or qualifications:

Must have an electrical or mechanical qualification.

Must be able to fault find on electrical and mechanical systems.

Must be willing to travel

Must be willing to stay away 3 to 4 days week

Ideally candidates would have previous experience within the materials handling sector as either a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer or a Field Service Engineer, but they are open to good well-rounded candidates. Ex-forces candidates are also of specific interest depending on experience.

Candidates can be based anywhere in the UK with access to major troads or motorways.

Salary – £45,000 Basic OTE 65K plus easily
