Job Description

You can expect a thorough introduction and training so that you can guide your colleagues, who have the contact with our customers.

Welcome to the Hotline department

You willbe based in the Hotline department in Ashby-de-la-Zouch to provide local level 1 remote support to a team of 28 persons based in our Denmark Hotline Department, with a total seniority of 300+ years. During the first 1-2 years, you will receive thorough training to obtain the skills & qualifications needed to work independently when offering support to our UK based logistics & airport customers.

More specifically, your tasks will include:

Offering technical support to UK & international colleagues

Troubleshooting via remote access

Participating in the continued development of performance monitoring

Reporting Hotline cases to our clients

Supporting commissioning activities during upgrades

Forming a conduit between BEUMER Group and our clients

Travel to sites as and when required

Site and office based

Some out of hours /weekend work will be required

You havean electrical/controls background, maybe combined with aneducationin mechanical or electronic engineering.

You willbe experienced in troubleshooting and rectifying errors on running systems. Most importantly, you have a broad technical understanding and are willing to learn new things. Knowledge about Siemens S7/TIA portal or Allen Bradley PLCs, Windows, Linux and SQL databases would be an advantage, however training will be provided.

You havea technical “drive”, curiosity, and willingness to learn new things. You thrive on outward contact and at times an unpredictable working day. High quality and a sense for detail characterise your behaviour, and you are also service minded and independent.

The Hotline Technical Support Engineer will be part of a remarkable team providing support to 100’s of the best customers globally, and you will work as part of a progressive family.
