Scope of the role

The Country Manager is responsible for achieving sales and profitability by defining and ensuring the best Wholesale, Retail and Corporate business strategy in the Netherlands and Nordics.

This includes a seamless execution of the commercial strategy and manage the related sales plan, always looking for new opportunities to improve the performances.

Main responsibilities

Define the business plan and the budget for the Area to deliver an effective commercial strategy​ for all assigned channels;

Direct responsibility of sales channels: B2B Wholesale, Distributors & Direct Accounts, Retail and promote the creation of new strategic partnerships;

Expand our presence in major department stores in the Area, with the creation of branded spaces;

Develop and maintain long term solid relationships with strategic clients and ensure a regular presence also through client visits, store visits, networking activities, etc…;

Formalize Joint Business Plans with key customers, bringing together the interests in a single vision and objectives;

Manage, coordinate and enhance all Retail activities working closely with the Retail Manager;

Identify new locations to expand the retail channel (currently 1 store in the perimeter);

Regularly monitoring through KPIs and reporting on results and forecast (sales & profitability);

Carry out Gap analysis, and define action plans, also in collaboration with top clients in order to ensure company results;

Constantly interacting with other departments of the company as well as external partners: Logistic partner, Visual, Communication, Marketing, etc..;

Stay up-to-date with industry trends and market conditions.

Skills Requirements:

Good communication, interpersonal skills, positive, can-do-attitude and hands-on mentality;

Flexibility and ability to work autonomously;

Evidence of effective management of multiple deadlines and on priority issues;

Experience & track record of multi-channel management;

Good knowledge of the Netherlands & Nordics markets;

Solid experience in Wholesale and Retail channel;

5+ years of sales experience as Area Manager or Country Manager, preferably in luxury/lifestyle brands or FMCG companies with hard reporting;

Confident handling of common MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Knowledge of SAP is an advantage;

Remote work with extensive travels across the designated areas

Fluent in English (any other language spoken in the designated area is considered a plus).
