Job Description
AECOM’s Sustainable Development Group are leaders in the field of Decentralised Energy, including District Heating, District Cooling, Renewables and energy storage. The team specialises in low carbon sustainable energy network design, from initial opportunity identification, feasibility, business case development and design to commercialisation, procurement support, construction support and post construction monitoring. We have a significant number of projects across UK&I and globally within the Middle East and Europe.
We also heavily support UK government in the delivery of a variety of low carbon heat network schemes, including being technical advisors on both the HNIP and GHNF grant schemes. We are looking for someone with an excellent grasp of the market, and how buildings, estates, towns and cities can be decarbonized through the use of low carbon energy networks.
We are looking for a driven and client focused District Heating professional to lead and grow a team.
Job Duties
Build upon and grow our DH work Lead in the bid activities, project delivery and team management Growing and manage the team as required Grow a portfolio of clients Interface with wider DE team in the management of resources and projects Help the Government, local authorities and private sector clients deliver on their climate objectives. Examples of the Skills Sought Excellent client facing skills A good understanding of the UK energy market Knowledge of Heat Networks Knowledge of renewables (PV etc) and low carbon heating technologies Knowledge of energy storage, EV and Micro grids Knowledge of building services, their design and operational requirements including controls and utilities and commissioning Qualifications
