Our client, a world class innovator, plays a vital role in designing, manufacturing, supplying, and providing continuous support throughout the lifespan of nuclear propulsion products and systems. This contribution is crucial for sustaining the Royal Navy s submarine fleet and overseeing the management throughout their entire lifecycle.

A thrilling opportunity has arisen for an Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Engineer to join this Underwater Defence company. They are looking for engineers across multiple engineering disciplines. As part of this they are also looking for several people with a background in Electrical, Control & Instrumentation to join them in (but not limited to):

Electrical Control & Instrumentation

Control Systems

Electronic Systems

Frontend Developers

FPGA

Firmware

Software OR Hardware Design

Key Responsibilities:

You will collaborate with key stakeholders to incorporate and manage system requirements.

Design, manufacture, specify, test, commission and provide support for both bespoke and commercial off-the-shelf Electrical Control and Instrumentation systems.

Generate technical reports and documentation adhering to engineering best practices.

Conduct project planning and control to ensure adherence to cost and schedule.

Occasionally perform on-site tasks for design reviews, investigations, equipment trials, commissioning, and upgrade activities

Requirements:

Degree Level or equivalent in a relevant engineering field.

Engineering design experience within the electrical, control or automation industries.

Knowledge and/or experience in Controls and Instrumentation systems and architecture.

Great verbal and writtencommunication skills

Selection and practical implementation of instrumentation solutions experience

Power system design for control applications experience
