Job Purpose:
Design and maintenance of electrical schematic folders
Support of management following IEC 62995 and EN 50343 and equivalents
Support project managers with customer requirements on schematics and electrical design
Provide technology innovations and high product reliability
Keep the technical database updated to trace and produce correct cable sets
Keep a high level of relevant advances in the rail industry
Work closely with production to ensure the quality of prototyping, pre-series up to serial production
Organizational Integration:
Directly report to the R&D manager
Work on close collaboration with all company’s group organization and departments
Work in close collaboration with Secheron GVA, the schematics and cabling team, and project leaders
Main Responsibility:
Design and develop electrical schematics following IEC 62995 standards
Preparing technical documentation for the project
Implement technical data in ERP& PLM software
Update and keep up-to-date documentation following production feedback
Work closely with the production assembly workshop to ensure the quality of prototyping, pre-series, and mass production
Work closely with the cabling production to ensure the quality of deliveries and improve the process
Cooperation with PMs to define HV components and electrical functional diagrams for project needs
Be a local referent regarding the quality of the wiring path according to IEC 62995
Participate in the treatment of related NRC
Requirements
Performance Criteria:
Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines
Warranty issues and hidden defaults generating retrofit cases must be minimized
The failure rate and maintenance costs (LCC) are minimized
High quality of internal and external relationships is mandatory
NCR treatments are done quickly, and given solutions are reliable in the long term
All technical files and records are completed and permanently available
All modifications are made with revision index and modification announcement
Bring spontaneous ideas and suggestions for improvement in any field
Quality Responsibility:
Works with respect to ISO, IEC and IRIS requirements
Integrate all related standards according to customer’s specifications
Participate actively in the improvement of the product’s quality
Participate to decrease the risk of faulty work by using the non-conformity reports (NCR)
Professional Expectations:
Engineering degree (Bachelor or Master) in electrical engineering or equivalent
Demonstrated experience in the design of electrical diagrams, preferably in the railway field
Advanced mastery of electrical schematics software – SchemELECT is an asset
In-depth knowledge of IEC 62995 and EN 50343
Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines
Strong adaptability and versatility to adapt to various project needs
English at a communicative level in written and verbal form is a must
