Job PurposeReporting directly to the Flight Dispatch Manager, their mission will be the flight plans calculations, according to the existing and applicable legal guidelines.
Main Accountabilities
Analyze the meteorology of the destination airports and the routes to calculate the flight plans.
Analyze all short-term information on airport facilities, airspace, etc. of the destination, alternative and route airports, to check possible limitations in their use.
Flight plans calculation safely, legally and economically
Follow aircraft departures and take-off times and improve them so that the flight in question has the minimum possible delay.
Apply the aircraft limitations issued by Maintenance and compute the flight plans.
Contact with the pilots to inform of any change in their flight plan.
Include overflight / landing permits in flight plans.
Update AOS rules if necessary.
Calculate flight plans that req. more care (KEF, BJL, DSS …)
Attend meetings.
Lido database maintenance.
Education
Operations Technician or equivalent grade
Competencies
Proactive, teamwork and capability to work under pressure.
Resolute, flexible and effective person.
Ability to analyze with attention to detail and organized.
Languages
English: B2
Spanish C1
Other
Availability to work in morning/evening/night shifts.
Basic knowledge of computers
knowledge in SMS and Compliance Monitoring
