Role Description
Our client is a highly successful online premium fashion brand based in Manchester and experiencing exceptional online growth, they are now looking to recruit a commercially aware HEAD OF DESIGN with potential to become DESIGN DIRECTOR to join the business. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing a team of designers, overseeing the entire design process from concept to final product, collaborating with
cross-functional teams
, conducting market research, implementing design strategies, and ensuring brand consistency and alignment with the company’s vision and driving the brand and business forward.
Sourcing and product development is also very beneficial for this role.
Qualifications
• Proven experience as a Head of Design or similar
leadership
role within ladies & menswear
• Strong knowledge and understanding of the online ecommerce fashion industry sourcing & product development
• Excellent
leadership
and team management skills
• Proficiency in design software and tools
• Creative thinking and
problem-solving
abilities
• Strong
communication
and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects
•
Attention to detail
and a keen eye for aesthetics
• Knowledge of current fashion trends and consumer preferences
• Experience working with premium fashion brands is a plus
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Fashion Design or related field
