We are currently looking for a HR & Payroll Coordinator to join our Croydon team.

Job Role

Reporting to the HR Manager, you will be responsible for providing effective and practical generalist HR advice to staff and people managers.

Payroll:

• Process monthly payroll including adhoc and regular data input in conjunction with the UK HR Lead.

• Assist with employee salary, payroll and benefits queries.

• Manage the reporting from payroll in line with HR and business requirements.

• Be able to answer or investigate adhoc finance queries.

• Manage calculations of NI, tax and any other adhoc deductions or additions.

HR:

• Process all new starters and leavers including creation of employment contracts (UK and Portugal), reference requests and leaver letters.

• Process all paperwork associated with employment changes and variations to contracts (UK and Portugal).

• Create and maintain all employee personnel files, ensuring archiving of leavers and cleansing of information.

• Assist with any recruitment administration queries from the recruitment team including right to work queries.

• Maintain the HR database reports including headcount, sick absence and holiday reporting.

• Managing benefits, including adding and removing members from the schemes.

• Any other duties as required by the business.

Requirements

• 2+ years’ experience in a HR support role, ideally within a fast paced and people focused environment, and a strong foundation in all aspects of employee management.

• Solid understanding of employment law and payroll operations.

• Resilient in your experience and approach, recognizing the importance of discretion and confidentiality in dealing with sensitive matters.

• Highly organized, with

attention to detail

and adept at managing competing, and sometimes conflicting, priorities.

• A skilled and strong communicator, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise with people at all levels and navigate complex situations with confidence.

• You’re someone who is committed to seeing things through and are able to work as part of a team or on your own initiative.

• Tolerant of ambiguity, solutions-oriented, with a zest for learning and developing your understanding of people and all things HR.

• Ability to work in a

fast-paced environment

• Proficient with MS Office suite.
