Duties

The incumbent reports to position number 100259 (HR Assistant). Leads and manages the Eligible Family Member (EFM) Hiring Program. Organizes retirement ceremonies for Locally employed (LE) Staff and U.S. Direct-Hire American employees (USDH). Performs a variety of accreditation and administrative duties in support of the USDH employees assigned to France, their EFMs, Third Country Nationals (TCNs), and LE Staff. Provides advice and service to all USDH employees and their EFMs assigned to the Missions in France. These include multiple U.S. Missions, 2 Consulates General, 3 American Presence Posts (APPs), 50 associated agencies and o/a 350 USDHs and 600 family members and members of household (MOH).

Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of four years of progressively responsible experience in Human Resources, administrative work or in a position involving extensive public interaction or customer service.

JOB KNOWLEDGE: Good knowledge of Human Resources and Customer-service practices. Good knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint Processing.

Education Requirements:

A minimum of two Years of post-secondary school is required.

Evaluations:

LANGUAGE: This will be tested

English: Fluent (Speaking/Reading/Writing – may include ability to translate) is required.
French: Fluent (Speaking/Reading/Writing – may include ability to translate) is required.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Good innovation skills. Excellent organizational and writing skills (writing skills in French will be tested). Ability to make oral presentations. Ability to work independently and to prioritize work. Ability to work under pressure. Ability to keep all matters confidential (especially medical or other personal information). Ability for detailed work. Strong Customer Service, interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to use computer databases and applications. Ability to translate administrative documents.

SALARY: theannual gross salary includes: the profit-sharing allowance, the vacation allowance, the bonus allowance and the “Comité d’Entreprise” allowance.

MEAL TICKETS: Meal tickets have a face value of EUR 8.25/day. 60% of the daily amount is paid by the U.S. Government. An employee contribution of EUR 3.30 per ticket will be deducted in payroll. The number of meal tickets is limited to 202 workdays per year.

TRANSPORTATION:Employees are eligible for a reimbursement of 50% of the cost of public transportation passes purchased for commuting purposes.

HOLIDAYS:The U.S. Missions in France observe eleven U.S. holidays per year and up to ten French holidays.
