We are working with a global technology giant and leading research company who are looking to add talented Infrastructure Research Engineers to their growing team in the Edinburgh Research Centre.
The Research Lab focuses on innovating,prototypingand assessing new ideas, designs, and technologies, ultimately integrating them into their data centres.
They are looking for candidates with strong knowledge in operating systems, heterogeneous hardware, distributed systems, or cloud native applications for this position.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Research into emerging technologies and systems
Conduct system design, analysis and prototype development
Research problems, design solutions, analyse results and build prototypes to showcase the benefits and challenges of technologies across data centre and cloud applications
Design, implement, and evaluate key technologies and associated algorithms
Key Skills and Experiences Required:
Masters or PhD in Computer Science or relevant subject
Comfortable with research methodology
Comfortable with system design and implementation
Strong understanding of at least one of operating systems / distributed systems / cloud computing
Strong programming skills – C/C++, Go, Python
Very beneficial to have published papers in top journals / conferences
