Job Description

TheJunior sales rep new business (inside sales)In Italy is responsible for selling service contracts for the CMD and MSD business to new or existing customer who have bought or planning to buy Thermo Instruments in collaboration with the new business account manager.

In this critical sales position, you will focus on exceeding the sales quotas for our service portfolio. You will collaborate with cross divisional & channel distribution partners, product & application specialists, customer experience and business development teams to help drive sales.

This is a field-based position which requires frequent travel to customer accounts. Please note that using video calls and conferencing will be the alternative arrangement.

Territory: Italy Travel: up to 20% overnight

What will you do?

Achieve and exceed monthly & yearly sales goals within assigned territory

Identify, develop and close large sales opportunities

Identify customer solutions that span across multiple business sectors and cross functional partners, and collaborate optimally to implement the sale plan

Support cross-functional customer planning sessions and business reviews of service solutions for various customers

Develop, implement and maintain account specific strategies/proposals to drive incremental growth opportunities

Use technology to accurately forecast sales stages and sales pipeline

Sells new products by crafting and using value propositions content in establishing key customers relationships and understanding customer service/support needs

Sell products/services through, virtual video tools, telephone as well as face-to-face contact

Applies crucial messaging and sales approach for the broader target audience with outstanding knowledge of our service products

Train, Empower and support divisional Sales partners to sell services early at POS to achieve sales goals

Act as a resource to others in settling the best course of action in compliance with quality processes and business rules and regulations

Submits accurate weekly forecasts, weekly reports, monthly highlights, marketing intelligence, and maintains data integrity within SalesForce.com CRM

Submits monthly business review of territory/region on actual sales performance Vs AOP

Maintain intensity and continually targeting to increase contract penetration coverage of instrument install base

Required Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Science or equivalent education or experience

Italian mother language / English fluent

Minimum one-two (1-2) years of outstanding selling experience strongly preferred.

Experience successfully meeting or exceeding sales target in a business environment

Experience demonstrating consistent sales growth in previous sales role

Demonstrable experience crafting and driving sales and/or field marketing plans

Success in territory management plans with a focus on developing long-term relationships

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. TEAMS, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, etc.)

Preferred Experience:

Solid understanding of assigned product portfolio and corresponding technical understanding of instruments (CMD, MSD)

Familiarity with the following industries: biotech, clinical, pharmaceutical, academic/medical research, environmental, food, forensics, and petrochemical

Proficiency with sales software like Salesforce.com and SAP
