Position Overview

The position of dishwasher maintains the cleanliness of the kitchen area and ensures that all dishes, utensils, glassware and pots are washed and properly cleaned. The position also assures that the cleaned inventory of such items is maintained for use in the restaurant.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Wash all dishes, pots and pans
Maintain the overall cleanliness of the kitchen area, kitchen walls, shelves and floor on a daily basis
Support with preparation of any production items and all the necessary activities in the kitchen by following company standards
Empty and clean garbage cans in the kitchen
Maintain the garbage area clean and compliant with HACCP guidelines, and manage the garbage rotation according to AMSA’s schedule
Follow Chef’s guidelines in cleaning the extraction hood on a regular basis
Handling chinaware, glassware, silverware and other kitchen utensils in a proper way, avoiding breakage as much as possible
Keep the personal locker and surrounding area in a neatly condition, following internal procedures
Remove dirty pots/pans from the cooks’ line
Keep glass racks and dish racks clean and organized
Respect the schedule and working hours assigned by the Manager
Maintain a clean uniform throughout the shift
May perform other duties as assigned
Experience, Skills & Knowledge
Ability to effectively communicate verbally with other kitchen staff in fast-paced environment.
Availability to work overtime when necessary.
Able to maintain poise and positive personality when under pressure.
Ability to stand for long periods of time
