Position: Junior Project Manager Intern (2 months)
Background:
The European Network for Women in Leadership (WIL Europe)is a Europe-wide non-profit organisation dedicated to the promotion and advancement of the professional and social interests of women in leadership positions and aspiring female leaders from different sectors across Europe.
Our mission is toconnect, inspire and empower women to lead the way, by providing a space where they can meet and exchange, network, grow, and identify opportunities and ideas that are not always readily available in their immediate social and professional environments.
Our activities are focused oninternational, local and online events, including those with key political and business leaders;peer-to-peernetworking; andraising the visibilityof our members on our communication channels (newsletter, social media).
Since 2012, we have also been running a 12-month leadership programme, theWomen Talent Pool (WTP), which supports and promotes a new generation of female leaders in Europe by offering them visibility opportunities, learning opportunities, connecting them with inspiring leaders in Europe, as well as mentoring and coaching. The 9th edition kicked off in March 2024 under the high patronage of Marie-Claire Daveu, Chief Sustainability and Institutional Affairs Officer at Kering and WIL Member.
Responsibilities:
As Junior Project Manager and WTP programme coordinator, you will assist the General Manager inall aspects of our in-person and online events and networking activitiesto ensure that they run smoothly and are enjoyable for our members, as well as in the the coordination of all aspects of ourWomen Talent Pool leadership programmeincluding planning, organising, and supervising programme activities. Working with our Communications Manager, you will also be responsible for managing and developing ourEmpowering Girls project, aimed at empowering and inspiring young women through interaction with senior female leaders from different sectors/industries.
Activities:
Event management (35%)
Support in defining the theme, format, agenda and speakers’ list of WIL events and networking activities.
Prepare event invitations and lead on follow-up.
Contribute ideas to communication strategies for our events.
Assist with the logistics and overall organisation during WIL events and be a “go-to” point for our members.
Draft thank you letters and assist with other post event communications.
WTP Programme management (35%)
Ensure the smooth delivery of our annual Women Talent Pool programme, including recruitment of new Talents, organisation of our Career Development (mentoring) sessions and coordination of WTP events.
Communicate with WTP participant and partners on the WTP programme.
Gather feedback on the programme and propose adjustments as needed.
Develop new initiatives to enable the programme to move with the times.
Empowering Girls (20%)
· Lead on further developing our project for young women aged 16-18, including raising the profile of the project, finding participations and organising interviews with role models (our members).
· Work with WIL’s Communications Manager to promote the project on Instagram.
Other (10%)
· Contribute to the development of new initiatives to ensure that WIL has ever-greater impact.
· Build relationships with our current members and lead on membership process for new members.
