As a Latin Teacher, you will be required to have the following qualifications and experience:
A degree in Latin or a related field.
Experience teaching Latin at the secondary level in the UK is preferred.
An appropriate UK teaching certificate, specifically a PGCE in secondary Latin with QTS/QTLS.
A current enhanced DBS on the updating service, or the willingness to apply for a new one.
Excellent knowledge of the subject matter and the ability to tailor lesson plans and curricula to suit the needs of individual students.
Experience teaching conversational sessions and composition classes in Latin.
Familiarity with instructional strategies, resources, and language games appropriate for the classroom setting.
Experience preparing students for written and oral exams.
