We are currently working alongside a specialist in every aspect of lift design, installation, maintenance, and repairs, established in 2000, serving clients across the South of England. At present, they are looking to recruit a Lift Engineer to support a route in Rotherhithe, Southeast London. The role will involve;
* Conducting routine maintenance inspections on various types of lifts and elevators to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
* Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues with lifts and elevators, and implement necessary repairs.
* Performing preventative maintenance tasks according to manufacturer guidelines and industry standards to minimise downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
* Responding promptly to service calls and emergency situations, including after-hours and weekends, to resolve lift and elevator malfunctions and ensure continuous operation.
* Conducting thorough safety checks and tests on lift components, including brakes, cables, and control systems, and document findings accurately.
* Collaborating with customers, building managers, and other stakeholders to coordinate service schedules, provide technical support, and address any concerns or inquiries.
* Keeping detailed records of maintenance activities, service reports, and parts inventory, and utilising computerised maintenance management systems for efficient tracking and documentation.
* Covering callouts by taking part in the company’s standby rota on a 1 day in 12 basis. To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to have;
* A minimum of 3 years’ experience in lift servicing and maintenance.
* An NVQ 3 in Lift Engineer, BTEC or other J-Module qualification in Lift Engineering.
* A full UK Driving License. This position offers the following benefits;
* A basic salary of up to £48,000pa depending on experience.
