Full-Time Equans is looking for a Maintenance Electrician to
join our team
in Blackburn Hospital on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a

The maintenance engineer will complete engineering activities and undertake duties for which their trained and competent to do. There is an Estates management team based on site that can offer specialised technical advice and who can liaise with the appropriate levels of management to facilitate specialist isolations necessary to undertake certain engineering works.
What will you deliver?
Help ensure compliance with statutory and company procedures, maintaining up to date knowledge of H&S and environmental regulations and helping us to achieve our H&S target.
Diagnose, fault-find, commission systems, monitor and assess ongoing machine/facility performance, through Planned Preventive Maintenance programme, identifying any additional works required.
Assist in installing, commissioning, and servicing plant, equipment and industrial furniture.
At all times maintain a smart appearance and professional manner that is representative of EQUANS in the workplace.
Carry out and assist in planned/reactive maintenance to on site systems.
Flexible working hours
required which may include overtime working.
Participate in the on-call rota.
Administer and complete relevant paperwork.
Fair, consistent, and courteous attitude in all dealings at all levels.
Ability to
work under pressure, take ownership of problems and deal with them to their conclusion.
Ensure that all issues are reported to the Technical Services Supervisor/Technical Services Manager.

NVQ level 3 or equivalent
Must have
completed an electrical apprenticeship with relevant qualifications
Ability to
follow instruction, work to plans (method statements), communicate, present and report technical information as appropriate to trade/skill
Sound knowledge of Health & Safety Sound awareness of
