Along with your team colleagues, you are responsible for the further development and

innovation

of our products in the field of continuous casting. You independently develop concepts, parts, assemblies, and processes. From feasibility studies or basic engineering through to fully detailed and patented ideas, you act to shape the future of metals. You manage the detailed engineering with our internal and external partners, you drive the

continuous improvement

process for our established products together with other internal departments.

Additionally, you guide and coordinate the manufacturing and commissioning of your developments on-site seeing first-hand the impact of your creativity.

You are

excited and thrilled by the combination of various physical phenomena like high temperature, extreme environments, heavy-duty machines and precise, highly accurate engineering at the same time.

You will

support our sales team in defining

innovative

, differentiating engineering solutions. Furthermore, you like the international flavour and assignment

flexibility

of a small but globally active company. Throughout the execution of development projects, you will work closely with the manufacturing and procurement department, workshops, and subcontractors. For this

challenging

and varied role we are looking for candidates with a degree in engineering (Technical University for Applied Science, BSc or MSc) who have several years experience in development or engineering of mechanical equipment.

The position requires broad technical expertise in general plant design and engineering as well as a willingness to assume responsibility. You also have the ability to work very independently, take a structured approach to your work and offer excellent communications and project

leadership

skills. A sound knowledge of CAD (preferably Auto Cad, CREO and Inventor) is essential as is very good written and spoken German, English and a willingness to travel internationally at very short notice (approx.
