Pay rate:£13.50(weekly pay)
Shift Pattern: 8-3:30, 3:30-11, 11-8
Requirements:Previous experience supporting people with a learning disability and mental health and a full UK driver’s license.

Unfortunately, wecannotprovideVISA sponsorshipand we do not hire on a relocation basis, you must currently be based in/around the Torquay area and able to commute.

We’ve got anexcitingopportunity for the right person to work with an individual living in Torquay.

This role will be supporting a young person with learning disability and mental health. She enjoys going out into the community and has an interest in social media particularly Tik Tok and many other social interests. We will provide staff on a 1:1 24/7 basis.

Key responsibilities

Support Workers cover all manners of support for others – from companionship and days out, to personal care and housekeeping.

Support with all facets of daily living.

Foster a supportive andinclusiveenvironment.

Ensure the individual’s safety and well-being at all times.

Communicate effectively with the individual and other team members.

Maintain confidentiality andrespectprivacy.

Adhere to care plans and guidelines provided.

Aid with light household chores which may include cooking, cleaning.

Helping to plan and organise leisure opportunities such as seeing favourite bands, walking, places of interest etc.

Helping with homework

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERTISE

Ability to effectively communicate with individuals requiring care.

Strongattention to detailand adherence tosafety protocols.

Empathy, patience, andcompassionwhen interacting with individuals in need of support.

Flexibilityandadaptabilityto meet varying care needs.

Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Willingness to undergo additionaltraining and developmentas required.

UK driver’s license required.

Previous Autism experience.

Previous experience working with mental health.

Enthusiastic and willingness to learn.
