Your RoleThe Program & Startup Manager is responsible for curating a unique and stunning program for TOA24 Berlin and other international TOA events organized throughout the year.This is an entry-level position for a person looking to start out, with the vision of growing into a Head of Content.Please note, you will be working independently, taking over the responsibilities of the existing content lead.

Mainly, you’ll beresearching top innovators and key playersin the tech and startup ecosystem,connecting with potential speakersandnegotiating their presence at the event. You’ll also be in charge ofdeveloping and managing formats,particularly relevant to startups and investors (e.g. startup pitch, startup competition, investor meetings, speaker 1on1’s, etc.). You will work closely with TOA’s Production Team when bringing various formats to life (panels, fireside chats, keynotes, artistic performances, workshops, pitches, etc.) and supervise all the needs of speakers on stage.

Main ResponsibilitiesYour responsibilities amongst others, include:

Continuously researching and staying in-the-know on news related to technology to ensure that TOA’s content is relevant to our audience and in line with or ahead of the top trends

Creating the content strategy or reviewing the existing one (verticals, formats, and speaker tiers)

Creating a speaker database with up to date speaker data, as well as updating the already existing

Sending speaker invites and following up with them, as well as picking up existing speaker conversations

Establishing and maintaining speaker relations (comms, travel & hotel budget etc.)

Producing the speaking engagements (talk descriptions, preparation calls, stage schedule)

Managing speaker experience together with Speaker Operations (logistics, side events)

Maintaining and updating sheets and documents related to the role (application forms, onboarding sheets etc)

Copywriting titles and descriptions for the talks

Important: additional tasks will be added to the task load as we approach the event date (eg. speaker liaison).

Ideal Candidate

Knowledge of tech landscape is a must. Knowledge on any one of these fields: Web3, Health Tech, Climate Tech, Synbio, AI is preferred.

Self-starter with great execution skills: capable of advancing own projects independently

Great research skills and ability to comprehend ideas and content quickly

Capability to transform broad ideas into interesting, individual content angles

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal (English)

Ability to establish meaningful relationships with speakers

Ability to take quick decisions when required & keeping calm in the busier times

Problem solving skills

Openness to work at the intersection of other internal teams and taking over tasks to support each other

Knowledge of Hubspot or other CRM systems would be a plus
