Our client is helping transform thePower Systemand the island’sElectricity Sectoron sustainability and decarbonisation.

Working onlarge-scale / major capital investment programmes (transmission system Infrastructurein Ireland, the development ofoffshore electricity infrastructure),managing servicesacross a large partner base and an internal workforce.

This department is tolead the deliveryof the multi-yearmajor capital programmesrelating to the development oftransmission system InfrastructureinIreland,the development ofoffshore electricity infrastructure.The scale ofinfrastructure developmentis very substantial in terms ofcapital investmentand is transformational for theisland of Ireland. The requirement for effective and extensive stakeholder and community engagement is essential to the success of thesemajor infrastructure projects.

Significant engagementis required with the executive leadership team of through established our client structures. Engagement will also be required on occasion with the Shareholder and Government Departments

Our client is seeking a strongInfrastructure Leaderwith deep experience inInfrastructure Deliveryto mobilise and lead these majorTransformation Programmes / Projects. They are seeking ambitious, commercial and outcomefocused leaderswho have demonstrated experience ofbuilding major infrastructurein theenergy sector.

Key Responsibilities:

DemonstratedLeadershipabilities ofInfrastructure / Transformation Programmes / Projects (Power / Transmission Systems & Electricity Sector)departments.

Define and mobilise thelarge-scale infrastructure teamsrequired to deliver thecapital projects, including sourcing of internal capability and partner capability.

Manage large capital budgetseffectively and efficiently, partnering with finance teams to ensure that the appropriate controls are in place.

Manage large scale procurement processes, facilitated by the internal procurement team and in line with the standards for public procurement.

Lead the end-to-end deliveryof thecapital projectsto the required scope, costs and timescales.

Ensure thateffective governance arrangementsare inplace for all projects,and that the appropriate measures are in place to monitor progress and oversee effectivechange control processes.

Lead and drive the application of policies, standards, and frameworks as set by theProject Management Office.

Lead the engagement processes publicly withkey stakeholdersincluding visibility at public and community engagement events and in relation to engagement with the Shareholder.

Prepare and present to theexecutive leadership teamin relation toInfrastructure projects, beingpreparedto engage in constructive dialogue around the effective management and oversight of the projects.

Critical knowledge, skills, and experience:

Extensive leadership experienceofdelivering large-scale capital-intensive projectsin theenergysector or adjacent in the island ofIreland.

Able to understand the critical expectations ofstakeholdersand theshareholderand able to engage andinfluence key stakeholdersat a senior level.

Articulate and persuasive communications skills, able to tailor their approach for the relevant audience.

Able to motivate, lead and influence high performing hybrid(Internal, external, contingent) teams as circumstances change creating a cohesive delivery team…
