We continue to grow and would like to welcome more people in our Industrial Gases – Customer Engineering (UK, Ireland & Israel). We are looking for aProject Engineerto be based in one of our locations
-Westerhope (Newcastle upon Tyne) or Crewe or Carrington or Walkden
, reporting to the Core Project Manager.

LOCATION:
Westerhope (Newcastle upon Tyne) or Crewe or Carrington or Walkden

EDUCATION:
Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

EXPERIENCE:
Experience with project engineering /project management; with customer-facing environment;communicationwith various stakeholders; providing clear direction and planning

CONTRACT:
Permanent

SALARY:

You willbe part of a team responsible for the financial and technical delivery of all allocated project activities associated within the customer engineering business.
This includes food, industrial and medical grade installations of cryogenic tanks, typically in N2, Argon, CO2, O2 and H2 service and all associated gas control/application equipment, including food-freezing tunnels, gas generators, biomedical freezing systems and medical panels.

The projects in the customer engineering organization are allocated based on business requirements.

The key project life cycle includes the control of design, installation and commissioning of pressure systems and ancillary equipment provided within the scope of Air Products commercial contractual terms in line with all current quality, safety, prevailing statutory and company’s procedural requirements.

As a Project Engineer
, you will also be accountable for thebudget managementfor all allocated project activities using SAP as well as maintenance of the Project performance KPIs. You will take the lead withrespectto allocated projects; drive the safety culture during installs and meet the business requirements. You must also ensure that all activities are undertaken in compliance to both company’s standards and those national statutes that apply as well as alignment to quality and service standards required by the business.

Success in the role will require clear direction, planning and maintenance of key relationships with the IG UK&I safety, regional services, logistics and commercial representatives to ensure delivery of the most operationally suited solutions.

As a Project Engineer, you already are or have

A degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

Chartered Status Desirable

Proven experience inProject Management/ Project Engineering

Experience in customer facing situations

Excellent understanding of safety

Strongcommunication skillsacross various teams

You are proactive, result driven and a self-starter to support this business area

Ability to work to deadlines and to manage multiple projects

Strong analytical and technical skills are critical; familiarity with PID…
