We are now looking for a colleague to join our team in Bologna, Italy as a Compliance Engineer.
Job overview: You will work closely with the senior compliance engineer, analyzing the test results, as well as writing and reviewing the third-party reports. You will be responsible for producing and verifying technical documentation such as electrical drawings, user and installation manual, procedures or data sheets.
Your Core Responsibilities:
The main topic is to assess UPS (uninterruptible power supply) design conformity to IEC and UL standards, precompliance and conformity testing (safety, EMC, environmental);
Review the design in the very early stage from a compliance standpoint;
Implementation of the tests;
Produce manufacturing test procedures and contribute to the user technical documentation;
Definition of the test scripts and the scheduling of the test scheduling done internally as well as the one with external competent bodies.
In order to be successful in this role you will need to have:
Education: Technical education (Electrical/Electronic degree);
Experience: 1 year of experience in similar position;
Knowledge of the Power conversion fundamentals;
Knowledge in testing tools and laboratory instrumentation (oscilloscope, logger, power analyzer Thermal camera);
Knowledge in using electrical CAD;
Capability of writing professional technical documentation in English;
Fluent in English.
