The Role :
We now have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and energetic Regional Sales Manager that will be responsible for all Terex Tower & Self Erector crane sales activities in the DACH region, rreporting to the Global Sales Director – Tower Cranes. In addition the Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for all Self Erector sales in Nordics, Belgium, and Baltic states. Customer expansion, distribution channel development and increasing marketshare are key focus areas for this very important role. Ensuring our customers have the best experience, as measured by our Net Promoter Score, is also fundamental. This position requires a strong sales professional able to maintain existing customer base and develop new business relations in the region. Experience and a proven track record in distribution development is critical.
Key Responsibilities:
Regional Sales Manager will work in our Tower Cranes business with primary role being to sell the Company’s defined range of product;
Lead the complete sales process from order to shipment, assuring correct commercial documentation is in place, right through to payment collection;
Work closely with our Funding Solutions team to promote our financial solutions. Experience in working with both Wholesale and Retail funding solutions is critical;
Maintain existing customer relations but having the ability to design and execute on a clearly defined plan to significantly expand our customer and distributors base, is a key part of this role;
Conduct product presentations and trainings for customers and distributors, organize promotional visits to job sites and Terex Tower Cranes manufacturing facility;
Gather product and market intelligence, plus the ability to obtain pricing intelligence is a key factor;
Working closely with Global Marketing Team to promote our brands and increase our market exposure. You will be expected to take part in regional promotional events and on occasions attend international trade shows and conferences;
Working closely with our Service and Parts Teams to improve the after-market responsiveness in the region;
KPIs:
Increased turnover in the region, plus increased profitability on both product lines
Market share improvement year on year measured by unit sales in your defined region
Increased customer base, addition of new targeted end customers and distribution channels will be a critical measurement
Successful introduction of new products to the market and growth in sales of said products is a key measurement; Qualifications & Experience Required Qualification:
Degree qualified – preferably an engineering discipline enabling the Reginal Sales Manager to deploy significant technical as well as commercial expertise,
Experience:
• Technical sales experience in either an OEM, or retail environment is essential; • A well demonstrated track record of growing sales, adding distribution channels, and driving revenue and profit growth is essential;
Forecasting accurately is a key function in this role and the candidate will be expected at interview to demonstrate this;
self-starter who takes ownership of the assigned region, understands accountability, and can work under pressure;
excellent communication and presentation skills. With a strong work ethic demonstrating transparency, integrity, and trust;
Proficient with PC and Familiar with Online Communication Tools: Additionally, experience with social selling is essential. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Salesforce or other sales management tools;
Ability to interact with your peers in a multi-national organisation and to leverage this your advantage;
• Effective in strategic and tactical decision making; • Strong negotiating and closure skills are vitally important to succeed in this role;
A high level of travel is integral to the role (up to 75% of the time), both nationally and internationally and often at short notice is essential;
Fluent in both spoken and written English and German are essential. French and Italian language skills would be an added advantage.
