THE ROLE
You will train to be an Science teacher in one of our City of London Academies Trust schools.
THE PROGRAMME
Our flexible one-year programme has been designed tosupport youat every stage while you developyour skillsas a classroom teacher.
The course includes:
Two weeks of intensive training in September at our central office in the historic Guildhall, London. This is followed by a further two weeks of intensive training at Guildhall later in the year.
A hybrid training approach. Once you start your placement, you will spend four days a week at your main placement school. You will also spend one day a week dedicated to training and development. This training will be offered via home study days and half-termly face-to-face subject networks.
The opportunity to work closely with a highly skilled and knowledgeable mentor, alongside other colleagues, who will also receive support and training.
A six-week second placement at one of our other CoLAT schools.
At the end of the programme you will be awarded qualified teacher status (QTS) and a Post Graduate Certificate inEducation(PGCE).

ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible to apply, you will need:
An undergraduate degree or equivalent.
To demonstrate sufficient knowledge in the subject you are applying to teach, either through your degree qualification, your A Levels or relevant experience.
Grade 4 (C) or above in English and Maths GCSEs, or equivalent qualification. In order to teach Primary, you will also need Grade 4 (C) or above in Science GCSE.
