Senior Microbiology Technician – Birmingham – 6 months £16.03-£20.84 per hour – 6 months
This role is responsible for delivering microbiological and
food quality
project programme within a lab environment.
Duties
to carry out routine microbiological analysis of raw materials, WIP and finished product to the agreed specifications and sampling rates, carry out duties with the highest regard for Health & Safety, ensure compliance to GLP standard, sampling and data analysis, preparation of samples, timely reporting in SAP, data analysis, GMP audits and external audits.
Candidates must have excellent
communication skills
and relationship building skills, eye for details and meticulous in approach to data collection and interpretation, good IT and housekeeping skills, comfortable working within a lab environment and willing to work in factory environment if required, flexible with working hours, English fluency both written and spoken. Candidates will be educated to degree level or HND/HNC in a microbiology related field, practical knowledge of microbiological test methods and apparatus and a good understanding of GLP principles.
