Description
BDS are currently recruiting for a Retirement Living Manager based in Boston, PE21. We are looking for someone with a friendly and happy demeanour to be the first point of contact for the residents of the service.
The service hosts 34 studio and one bed apartments and hosts gardens, a communal lounge, laundry and guest facilities.
Duties
include but are not limited to;
* Speaking with the residents daily
* Signposting information on other services, in and around the area.
* Checking the property for any repairs and reporting these as required,
* Overseeing the service to ensure the smooth running.
* Involving the residents in activities within the service
* Arranging activities for the residents of the service, fish and chip nights, scrabble nights or even a game of cards,
* Health and safety checks and fire alarm panel checks,
The ideal candidate will have;
* Knowledge and/or experience of the issues faced by older people or other vulnerable groups in particular Dementia, drug & alcohol use and mental health (desirable)
* Experience of working in the social housing sector, particularly with a focus on older people (desirable)
* People Management, i.e. direct reports, contractors (desirable)
* CIH Level 3 or 4 (desirable)
This is a full time permanent position working Monday to Friday 9am- 5pm.
