Job description:
We are looking for a Junior R&D Design Engineer with a mechanical background that has experience in design for manufacturing. He or she will be part of a R&D-team and be responsible for monitoring the progress of solar cells process, identify any deviations from the original design, and propose corrective actions to ensure the solar panels remain efficient and cost-effective. Furthermore, to provide R&D/Engineering support for assigned product lines.
Responsibilities:
· Continuously monitor progress of solar cells process, identify potential design issues, and implement corrective measures to ensure optimal performance.
· Optimize solar panel layouts and system configurations to maximize resource utilization.
· Maintain detailed documentation of solar panel system designs, layouts, and performance evaluations.
· Provide R&D/Engineering support for assigned product lines
· Use analytical/problem solving skills to resolve design issues and product line challenges.
· Manage several product development activities including design, testing, certification, manufacturing.
Requirements and skills:
· Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (or similar) required.
· 2-3 years of engineering experience in manufacturing for large scale production, product testing, finite element analysis, stress analysis and design for manufacturing.
· Solid experience in prototype creation
· Extensive knowledge of solar energy technologies and system components
· Knowledge of solar-related science and technology innovation
· Experience collaborating with cross functional teams
· Knowledge of various production methods, materials, and standards (ISO, DIN, IS)
· Minimum C1-level in English
Desired skills:
· Mechanical background and knowledge of marine PV system is an advantage
