Eden Valley Hospice is adynamicand responsive specialist care provider for people with palliative and end of life care needs. We have anexcitingopportunity for a Team Leader to join our energetic, friendly, specialist palliative care team on our inpatient unit.
Based in Carlisle, we have a 10-bed inpatient unit, children’s hospice and offer day services.
You will be working as part of amultidisciplinaryteam and will be responsible for ensuring that research-based nursing care is provided to patients, carers and relatives.
You will assist with the management of the nursing team across all shifts, providing clinicalleadershipand acting as a role model in the delivery of high-quality patient care. We work collaboratively across the county with strong links to other care providers.
Due to excellent staff to patient ratios, you and your team will have time to care for and build relationships with patients and their families. You will be given protected time forleadershipand service development whilst remaining clinically credible.
The hospice’s vision is to provide excellence in specialist palliative care and to ensure patients receive consistently high standards of care in all care settings within the organisation. There is a culture of reflection, training, supporting and development for staff, with access to regular clinical and management supervision. It takes over £4.9 million per year to run Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw, Cumbria’s Children’s Hospice with over £3.4 million being raised through trading activity, voluntary donations and fundraising activities.
