We are currently looking to recruit for a company based in the Accrington area who are recruiting a Team Leader on a temporary to permanent basis. The
Successful candidate must have previous team leader experience and be used to working in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
Duties and responsibilities:
* Responsible in assisting the Department Supervisor in running and managing the department.
* Working as a member of the team ensuring quality and quantity of products meets the production schedule.
* Ensure the team are aware of the production schedule and deadlines.
* Ensuring all material and labour are available to meet production schedule in full and on time.
* Monitor adherence to production schedule and discuss any shortfall with Department Supervisor.
* Send complete work down to various other departments.
* Ensure all employees are following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
* Highlight any quality issues and initiate corrective measures.
* Follow up poor quality levels with Department Supervisor.
* To continually improve manufacturing/quality as part of the team.
* Attend meetings to communicate production updates and any potential issues.
The Ideal Candidate
will have:
* Good administration skills and knowledge of Microsoft office packages including Excel.
* Good organisational skills and a keen eye for detail.
* A desire to achieve results through team-working.
* Ability to work to tight deadlines.
* Previous experience in a team leader or supervisory role.
* Good verbal, written and interpersonal
communication skills
required.
Hours / rate of pay
Working Hours:
7.00am – 4.00pm Monday to Thursday and Friday 7.00am – 12.45pm
Salary is paying between £24,000 – £27,000 depending on experience
