Client Overview:
Our client, a leading UK construction business with a strong presence in Water/Environment projects, is seeking a Temporary Works Design Engineer for its expanding in-house design support unit.
Purposeof the
Role:
Responsible for Temporary Works Design compliance, the engineer will produce design deliverables, assist in tendering, coordinate subcontractor designs, and ensure CDM compliance.
Key Account abilities:
Design production for various temporary works
Tender input and subcontractor appointment
Subcontractor design and coordination
CDM compliance, ensuring high H&S standards
General responsibilities, including design brief compliance, budget adherence, and environmental considerations

Civil or Structural Engineering Degree (2:2 or higher)
Working knowledge of relevant laws and regulations
Previous design experience in construction
Computer literacy, including CAD and geotechnical/structural analysis software
Willingness towork towards professional institution membership (e.g., ICE, IStruct
E)
