In order to strengthen our engineering team, we are looking to hire a NVH Vehicle Performance Engineer, based in Maranello (Italy).
In this position, you will support the NVH & Sound Department to the definition and the achievement of what future Ferrari cars will sound and feel.
As part of the team, you will responsible of:
Conduct and document Setting, Deployment and Achievement of NVH targets for one or a few related vehicle models, in line with time and budget constraints.
Collaborate with the NVH Project Responsible, the NVH Specialists and all the related stakeholders outside the NVH Group, especially to anticipate and resolve trade-offs between contrasting requirements.
For the related vehicles, define together with the Vehicle Architect the simulation/demonstrator(s) plan to guarantee the virtual NVH compliance to specifications and later on, together with the Vehicle Testing Responsible, define the development plan to guarantee the NVH targets.
Perform vehicle measurements and subjective evaluations.
Act as a coordinator when solving occasional critical NVH issues.
In order to succeed in this challenging role, you will ideally have achieved excellent academic results with a Master-degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related Engineering degree (e.g. Automotive, Aerospace, Industrial). And you will have gained at least 2 years’ dedicated experience on NVH & Sound field (e.g. Rod or Powertrain Noise and Vibration, TPA, Psychoacoustic and subjective-objective evaluation metrics) or you have worked as a reference for one project execution at the full-vehicle level.
Solid knowledge of Structural Dynamics, Acoustics and related Signal Processing, Siemens Simcenter Test Lab and SCADAS equipment knowledge are mandatory to manage the activities.
The ability to organize and/or conduct vehicle NVH test campaigns, both operational and static (e.g. modal analysis, frequency response, etc.) is important for the role.
In Ferrari you must exhibit the capability to work in a highly-dynamic and fast-changing environment, thinking analytically, including attention to details and critical thinking ability. It is important to be proactive proposing new solutions to optimize all the processes and activities.
Fluent English is required for the position and Italian language skills are an advantage. We appreciate individuals with experience outside their country of origin, allowing for a multicultural mindset.
