The role

As an Equipment Management Team Leader, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be the key point of contact who brings together equipment owners with the owners and support the platforms.

Your role

will be to understand and resolve equipment supportability risks and improve availability of the platforms.

Day to day, you’ll extensively engage with senior customers – MoD and Surface Warships. understand the technical risks associated with the platform and resolutions and analyse technical data, understand risks and issues and be capable to bring it all together to give a big picture understanding.

Conduct extensive stakeholder management with MoD customers across platform and equipment areas

Lead equipment review meetings on required equipment support areas

Monitor platform availability and equipment performance utilising MoD tools and processes

Produce written reports and verbal briefs on project progress to

senior management

Interpret the demand and supply plans, analysing and reporting risks and issues to Class Cell TLs including all coordination of T26 Class Managed Equipment activities.

This role is full time – 36 hours and will be based on site at MoD Abbeywood 2-3 days per week with hybrid

working from home

arrangements. There is a requirement to attend Devonport Royal Dockyard occasionally.

Essential experience of the Equipment Management Team Leader:

Experience in the MoD maritime support environment

Effective stakeholder engagement experience and ability to present findings to senior managers

Competency in written technical communications and experience in report writing

Experience in leading a team

Able to

analyse large quantities of data in support of equipment performance and availability

Qualifications for the Equipment Management Team Leader:

Degree level qualification in a job related discipline or equivalent experience

The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.
