Role:

We are recruiting for an experienced Group Head of Maintenance to join our growing hotel group. Reporting to the CEO, the role will have wide ranging responsibilities that require an experienced manager with a

proven track record

in successful multi-site

leadership

in all areas of building maintenance and facilities management.

Location:

Our central support team for Andrew Brown sword Hotels and ABode hotels use our beautiful town house office in central Bath as a hub, as well as working remotely from our properties across the UK (regular travel is required for this role, so you will need your own transport, as some of our locations are in stunning, but remote locations). Hours:

Full time, Monday to Friday.

This role will provide both strategic and hands on

leadership

of facilities management for our group of 14 hotels ensuring the highest standards of safety, compliance and quality. This includes supporting the General Managers and their Maintenance Managers to have effective and planned maintenance programs for all areas of our properties.

This role is also responsible for managing the operational and capital improvement projects in line with the business development plan and annual budgets. The role with have responsibility for building compliance, value for money and effective maintenance contracts.

What youll need:

● To have hotel facilities management experience, ideally in a multi-site position or within a large hotel at a senior (Chief Engineer) level

● Formal qualifications arent essential- but you will need to demonstrate an excellent working knowledge of building and property maintenance.

● Sound knowledge and experience ‘on the tools’ for the core trades

● Experience of managing a

diverse

estate – listed buildings through to

modern

new builds

Leadership

– especially persuasive skills, capable of

communication

at many different levels, internally and externally.

● Experience of financial management of significant operational and capital budgets with proven

project management

experience coupled with the ability to deliver multiple tasks to tight deadlines.

● A great network of contractors, with the ability to manage them including the process of organising building works, arranging tenders and ensuring parity, documenting works and controlling works on site.

● To hold good knowledge and understanding of hard Facilities Management.
